This is an aerial view of the property, which is outlined in red. The street running vertically is Fifth Street (State Highway 118, which goes to Fort Davis to the north, and Big Bend National Park to the south). The two streets running horizontally are Avenue E at the top and Holland Avenue at the bottom (US Highway 90, also known as Old Spanish Trail, with Marathon to the east and Marfa to the west).

The main east-west link of the Southern Pacific railroad is visible just at the bottom of the image, along with the AmTrak station. Passenger trains stop here six days a week, headed to LA on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and to the East Coast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - I think - check the current schedule... one train going West three days a week, and one train going east the other three days - and one day with no train. The banks and shops are clearly visible, and this is Alpine's main intersection, although it's not our only four-way stop. We don't have any traffic lights that change colors, yet.
